The SAT MANAGER plus point:

Our knowledge of the specific constraints of ERP led us to deliberately encourage our client to centre their building plans around their viticulture activity, and to enhance the coherence between their commercial strategy and the architecture around them.

COOPERATIVE OF THE COTEAUX OF THE LANDION, CHAMPAGNE GASTON CHEQ
Building
Project start date : 2014 to 2015
Completion date : 2016 to 2018
Meurville, Aube
3232 m² - 2 levels

The champagne producers Gaston Cheq were seeking a head office that would be worthy of their evolving brand image, and they asked us to design a global build that would cover several areas (offices, reception, grape harvesting space, and an extension of the marc space). Our approach was to design something that met the client’s needs and took account of their expertise in their own field.

We designed a building that was coherent to the brand’s identity, re-organizing the administrative offices with an allowance for future expansion, and proposing a client reception area that was warm and welcoming, in line with their image. At the request of the works manager we included a viewing circuit that would allow visitors to see the production equipment in action.

The new buildings have become an important element in the brand’s communication and presentation. For the front façade of the building we took our inspiration from vine shoots, and this design has in turn inspired a new visual identity for the cooperative.
