The SAT MANAGER plus point:

Throughout this construction we provided a made-to-measure accompaniment to our client, so that the administrative constraints which threatened to disrupt the build could be lifted. Our anticipation and our watchful eye over potential administrative problems allowed us this project to be completed under the best possible conditions for the build manager.

For this job, we designed a made-to-measure building that is both functional and beautiful, two factors vitally important for our client. Our task, which was to convert this sensitivity into action, was achieved thanks to our high-performance tools.

DOMAIN OF THE BORDERIE
Viticulture building
Project start date : 2011
Completion date : 2013
Bar sur Seine, Aube
1254 m² - 3 levels

The client owned very sloping land on which he wanted to erect a building to house champagne-making equipment, from the pressurization stage through to the sale of the finished bottles and to include wine stores and a client reception room.

His aim was to adapt his production tools to match his production capacity, notably with a view to passing the business on to his children.

One of Jean-Louis Normand’s wishes was also that the new building should be perfectly integrated into the landscape, architecturally and environmentally speaking. The number of trees to be cut down was to be very limited, and the materials chosen were organic, such as wood and mineral materials.

Using the steep slope of the land, it was clear that gravity should be allowed to play its part, and that the wine-press should be installed at the highest level, accessed from the side. Below would be the wine stores and finally on the lower ground level, the discharge space. Built into the slope, the wine cellars would enjoy the earth’s natural thermal insulating qualities.
